'Φτάνει πια! Δεν περιμένω άλλο! Ήρθε η ύστατη ώρα να προχωρήσω μπροστά, να ζήσω!'.
Εκείνη την ώρα πρέπει να πάρεις μια δύσκολη απόφαση να μείνεις σ'αυτά που ξέρεις ή να προχωρήσεις και, μάλλον, να ξαναπογοητευτείς;
Πόσες απογοητεύσεις μπορείς να αντέξεις όταν ακόμα και οι θεοί ξεπέφτουν μπροστά στα μάτια σου;

What came first, the music or the misery? People worry about kids playing with guns, or watching violent videos, that some sort of culture of violence will take them over. Nobody worries about kids listening to thousands, literally thousands of songs about heartbreak, rejection, pain, misery and loss. Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable? Or was I miserable because I listened to pop music?

Albert Camus wrote that the only serious question is whether to kill yourself or not.
Tom Robbins wrote that the only serious question is whether time has a beginning and an end. Camus clearly got up on the wrong side of bed, and Robbins must have forgotten to set the alarm. There is only one serious question. And that is: Who knows how to make love stay? Answer me that and I will tell you whether or not to kill yourself.
(Tom Robbins, 'Still Life With Woodpecker')

This is a story of boy meets girl. The boy, Tom Hansen of Margate, New Jersey, grew up believing that he'd never truly be happy until the day he met the one. This belief stemmed from early exposure to sad British pop music and a total mis-reading of the movie 'The Graduate'. The girl, Summer Finn of Shinnecock, Michigan, did not share this belief. Since the disintegration of her parent's marriage she'd only love two things. The first was her long dark hair. The second was how easily she could cut it off and not feel a thing. Tom meets Summer on January 8th. He knows almost immediately she is who he has been searching for. This is a story of boy meets girl, but you should know upfront, this is not a love story.
(500 Days of Summer)

Once upon a time, there was a Candy and Dan... Things were very hot that year... All the wax was melting on the trees... He would climb balconies, climb everywhere. Do anything for her... Oh Danny boy. Thousands of birds. The tiniest birds adorned her hair... Everything was golden... One night the bed caught fire... He was handsome, and a very good criminal... We lived on sunlight and chocolate bars... It was the afternoon of extravagant delight... Danny, the Daredevil... Candy went missing... The day's last rays of sunshine cruise like sharks..."I wanna try it your way this time!" You came into my life really fast, and I liked it. We squelched in the mud of our joy. I was wet thighed with the surrender... Then there was a gap in things... And the whole earth tilted... This is the business. This is what we're after. With you inside me... Comes the hatch of death...
(Candy)

I'd like to pack this in, and take you to the stars
we’ll eat at fancy restaurants and drive in fancy cars
We tried our luck, we made a buck, so lean back have some fun.
(Oh yes my love, but first just this last one.)
(The Hillbilly Moon Explosion, 'My Love For Evermore')

My Mama always said you've got to put the past behind you before you can move on.

I like the way you move.
(Body Rockers, 'I like the way you move')

I move inside my vein.
(Patti Smith, 'Godspeed')

You're poison runnin' through my veins.
(Alice Cooper, 'Poison')

Kiss me, ki-ki-kiss me. Infect me with your loving. Fill me with your poison.
Take me, ta-ta-take me. Wanna be your victim. Ready for abduction.

(Katy Perry, 'E.T.')

-Elizabeth...speak to me of abduction.
-I was 18 and worth two and a half thousand a year.
You ambushed me, bundled me into your coach and rattled me away.
The King thrust...

The art of our necessities is strange,
That can make vile things precious.
(William Shakespeare, 'King Lear')

I am the son and the heir of a shyness that is criminally vulgar.
I am the son and the heir of nothing in particular.
(The Smiths, 'How soon is now')

I don't know just where I'm going
But I'm gonna try for the kingdom, if I can
'Cause it makes me feel like I'm a man
When I put a spike into my vein.
(The Velvet Underground, 'Heroin')

The needle tears a hole,
the old familiar sting.
Try to kill it all away,
but I remember everything.

(Johnny Cash, 'Hurt')

When I’m hurting myself, I just try to hurt you.
You respond with tears, but they are never true.
(Gogol Bordello, 'God Like')

We only said good-bye with words. I died a hundred times.
You go back to her. And I go back to black.
(Amy Winehouse, 'Back to Black')

I look inside myself and see my heart is black
I see my red door and must have it painted black

(The Rolling Stones, 'Paint it black')

What was straight now is bent
What was black is now fading to grey
It's a bird it's a plane
It's a fault in my brain
'Cause you stole my heart away

(Lucky Jim, 'You stole my heart away')

Let me tell you about heartache and the loss of god
Wandering, wandering in hopeless night
Out here in the perimeter there are no stars
Out here we is stoned
Immaculate.

(The Doors, 'W.A.S.P.(Texas radio and the big bit)')

Mine, immaculate dream, made breath and skin, I've been waiting for you,
Signed, with a home tattoo, Happy birthday to you was created for you.
Ahh, it'll take a little time, might take a little crime to come undone.

(Duran Duran, 'Come Undone')

Sucker love, a box I choose.
No other box I choose to use.
Another love I would abuse,
No circumstances could excuse.
In the shape of things to come.
Too much poison come undone.
 (Placebo, 'Every Me, Every You')

She has me like a pisces when I am weak
I've been locked inside your Heart-Shaped box for weeks

(Nirvana, 'Heart-shaped Box')

I think I'm drowning; Asphyxiated, I wanna break this spell that you've created.
You're something beautiful;A contradiction,I wanna play the game,I want the friction.
You will be the death of me.

(Muse, 'Time is running out')

And after all, don't feel like nothing
Like walking away
Like a mouth full of rain
I'm holding on
'Cause you're my revolver
And I dreamed of ending
And flying away.

(Isobel Campbell and Mark Lanegan, 'Revolver')

Birds flying high you know how I feel
Sun in the sky you know how I feel
Breeze driftin' on by you know how I feel
It's a new dawn
It's a new day
It's a new life
For me
And I'm feeling good

(Nina Simone, 'Feeling Good')

Summertime and the livin' is easy
Fish are jumpin' and the cotton is high
Oh, your daddy's rich and your ma is good-lookin'
So hush, little baby; don't you cry
(Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong, 'Summertime')

Sometimes I feel like a motherless child
A long way from home
There’s praying everywhere

I've had enough, this is my prayer,
That I'll die living just as free as my hair.
(Lady Gaga, 'Hair')
